String test
 

Sooo have you tried it...?I was wondering if anyone would try it on their mature horse so I can work out how accurate it is. Basically you take a string and measure from fetlock to elbow. Keeping the string at the elbow you then turn your other arm directly upto the wither. In theory when you turn it up to the wither it should give you final mature height. My rising 2 year old(may) is currently standing around 15hh and the string test comes out around 16.3/17hh huge!!! Dad was 17hh and mum 16.2hh. Full sister at 5 has only reached 16hh. So I'm interested in what she will mature at. So if anyone has tried it with their own or would like to try it with their mature horse then feel free to post your results!! I do have an image to explain but not a clue how to post it !!
