Huge sigh of relief - ponies out of the mud!
 

I have been finding this wet winter very stressful - over the last few weeks my fields has turned into a bog and my poor ponies have been stuck with no way of getting out of the wet (they live out 24/7). There is still plenty of grass, but it's waterlogged all the way down and they have been getting pretty miserable. My mare has also developed mud rash on her back legs, which is not hugely surprising! I've been a bit panicky about what to do, as I can't stand seeing them so miserable and not being able to do anything! I've been looking at other yards, but everywhere is either full or their fields are even worse than mine!But today my YM texted me to say the YO has agreed to let my ponies go in the field in front of their house! It is apparently very well draining and has loads of grass! My YM moved the ponies this afternoon (I work late on Wednesdays) so I imagine they are currently in seventh heaven! Pointless post really, but I'm just so relieved I had to share!
