After chatting with a girl on the yard, I decided, after almost a year off, to get back on Nedly. He is a saint, after all the drama we've been through over the years, he was perfect.He still isn't 100% sound in trot, but after wintering out with no rug and no feed, he still hasn't lost any weight! So I feel I have little choice other than to bring him back into the most gentle walk work possible, just to give him things to think about! My goal is to teach him to go tackless, so it'll be slow and steady, but it'll make his brain work :) He's pretty good at working at liberty, he follows me around and waits when I ask and moves off again - we tested all of that today!I must admit, I was nervous getting back on. He's been off for so long, I had no idea how he'd take to me getting back on, but he was amazing :) I was bareback and before too long, I felt totally at ease! I'm so pleased with him!
