The new Prince Philip has arrived.

Paul Bettany is "being lined up" to play the famously gaffe-prone royal in Netflix's The Crown, Variety reported on Saturday.*

He would replace Matt Smith, who portrayed a younger version of Philip in the show's first two seasons.

Bettany would join Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham Carter — set to play Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Margaret, respectively — in the cast. At least a portion of Season 3 is set in the 1970s, and will include, among other things, the breakup of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon.
