rubber stable mats
 

Advice please from those who know. Contemplating putting rubber mats in my stable - never used them before. One of my ponies, 12.2hh Welsh A is going to need to come in. Issues I have, he has been diagnosed with Cushing's & has the delightful symptoms of a torrent of urine (though he has always produced loads). He is also an absolute pig in the stable, trashes the much around to a mulch so there's very little left. Consequently up till now he's been field kept unless shown. I would like to know about bedding usage - can I use a lot less?, obv. I need to soak the wee up. Previously used easibed but my neighbor swears by wood pellets. Pony also has an arthritic knee, so that's a factor. What about surface, bobbled or smooth? Appreciate advice & sorry if these are totally stupid Q's!
