Horse drinking a lot
 

Hi all, my friend usually fills up my horse's water for me to save me time on an evening and when I said his bed was really wet these last couple of weeks she said he had been drinking quite a bit recently. Aside from cushings, what else could be causing this? He is fed on a soaked feed that I always make wetter than needs be but have been doing this for over a year. I recently (for about a month) started supplementing salt because he seemed to stop having his lick and read that it was good to supplement it but worried I might be giving too much.. My plan this week is to stop supplementing salt to see if that helps but if not, what else could it be? I am going to ask for a cushings test when he is in the vets next week due to presenting a couple of the other symptoms as well. Just seemed odd for him to be drinking this much when it's so cold out! Thanks :)
