Are men really better than women?
 

The Holy Qur?an says, "Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Many men quote this Qur?anic verse when they speak about the nature of the relationship between men and women in Islam and they ig**re other relevant verses. In fact, they say that men are better than women and that they can beat their wives and inflict physical abuse on them in order to discipline them. Frankly speaking, this interpretation of the Qur?anic verse is unjust and unfair to women.
