The Federal Trade Commission called various states' bans on direct sales for automakers like Tesla "bad policy" that stifles competition

The FTC weighed in with a blog post on Thursday that argued that while tech**logy has transformed the way we buy other goods, the auto category has remained stubbornly resistant to change.
