At least 13 dead as boat capsizes off Thatta

THATTA: At least 13 people including women and children died when a boat capsized near* Thatta, according to Geo News.


According to Thatta's Deputy Commissioner* 11 people were pulled to safety* when* *the boat capsized after* *colliding* with another boat.*

Geo TV reported that* 60* pilgrims were going to attend an event at the shrine of a Sufi saint on two boats.


Police said two children and women were among the dead.*

The bodies were shifted to the Sheikh Zaid Hospital in Sakro.

They police said resuce officials were still searching for the survivors.
