If I am not having good ties with anyone, what happened to all others: Nawaz
 

LONDON: Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said he had been criticised for not having good relations with anyone but what happened to all the other prime ministers who experienced the same fate. Why none of them were able to enjoy good relations, he asked.
He said everyone in Pakistan, including the dictators and judges, targeted the prime ministers only. Nawaz said the five judges? judgment to disqualify him had resulted in instability and destroyed the country. The terrorism has started raising its ugly head again. Talking to media persons after
arriving in London along with Maryam Nawaz to inquire after the health of his wife Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, he questioned whether the 200 million people of Pakistan elect their prime minister for only to be jailed or hanged or exiled.
He recalled that he was removed by Musharraf in 1999 and by judiciary in 2017, not allowing him to complete his term. Judiciary must tell why he had been ousted, said Nawaz, adding, ?I do not accept this accountability.?
Nawaz also asked whether the courts are formed only to get pressurised, to garland the dictators and legalise the martial law. Justifying martial law was a big crime and they would be held accountable, he stressed.
He said the references filed against him were based upon revenge and an attempt to spread chaos in the country. This state of affairs is creating uncertainty in Pakistan and ?I think that the country would be ungovernable?, he feared. Nawaz listed his achievements, including overcoming the power outages and the launching war against terror, and asked why no one took notice of terrorism before 2013. He regretted the fact that he had been disqualified despite all this for the country and not only he but also his members of his family were facing cases.
The former prime minister said he had taken the responsibility of the Kargil affair in 1999 and had made Pakistan a nuclear power but got handcuffs, imprisonment and exile as reward.
