Zahid Hamid, Anusha Rehman have not resigned: Marriyum

ISLAMABAD: The Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb on Sunday said that federal minsters Zahid Hamid and Anusha Rehman have not resigned, adding that* all the news about their resignations were baseless.




In a statement, she said that government wanted to resolve the issue of Faizabad sit-in through dialogues and peaceful negotiations to avoid the clashes with protesters.*

Minister of State for Information added that the operation to end the sit-in was launched to comply with the court?s orders to ease the difficulties and agony of the residents of the twin cities who have been under siege for days.

She* further* said that government would apprise the court of its view point on Monday (today).
