Additional IG police martyred in suicide blast in Peshawar

According to Geo News, AIG Ashraf Noor was on his way to* office along with two gunmen when his* vehicle came* under attack.

The car caught fire* after* the explosion and a thick cloud of smoke was billowing from the* area.

Rescuers and heavy contingent of police rushed to the area and shifted the bodies to the Hayatabad Medical Complex.*

The police have confirmed that the blast* was carried out by a suicide attacker.

CCPO Tahir Khan said six* other officials of the* AIG's squad* were injured in the blast.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan took to Twitter and expressed sorrow* over the martyrdom of the police officials.*





Prime Minister* Shahid Khaqan Abbasi , Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and others also condemned the* blast.
