Sindh MPAs? qualification may be challenged for having Iqama
 

KARACHI: Qualification of some Sindh provincial ministers and members of provincial assembly (MPA) of Sindh would be challenged by their political opponents in coming days for allegedly possessing work visas of United Arab Emirates (UAE), The News has learnt.

Sources said that the qualification would be challenged in courts for **t declaring the Iqamas in **mination papers at the time of elections. Sources close to the Sindh government told The News that though some of party leaders refuted about having any Iqama but it is confirmed that many of Sindh provincial ministers and MPAs belonging to the ruling party possessed UAE Iqamas which they did **t mention in their **mination papers.

A political opponent of a provincial minister on the condition of **t to be named told this scribe that within days he was going to file a petition against the minister for having Iqama by quoting the disqualification of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. He was of the view that there should be same rule for all and if the prime minister could be disqualified for having Iqama then other parliamentarians should also be disqualified.
