Shahid Khaqan Abbasi likely to be interim prime minister

The TV reported that Abbasi is most likely to be appointed as interim prime minister because he is considered an undisputed leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz.

Earlier, it was reported that most PMLN leaders and members of Sharif family agreed on former defence minister Khawaja Muhamamd Asif's name as the interim prime minister.

The former defence minister, who is considered one of the most trusted allies of Nawaz Sharif, has held a ****** of key positions within the PML-N since 1991. He was elected to the National Assembly from Sialkot.
