Researchers from University of Pennsylvania found that those suffering from insomnia are more likely to feel depressed than those who had a full night?s rest. This is in addition to the k**wn negative physical effects of sleep deprivation such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. The UPenn study measured responses to happy, sad, and neutral faces after asking participants to either stay awake for 28 hours or get a full eight hours of rest.
