A construction worker escaped death Tuesday when a fire ripped through a newly developed apartment building he was apparently working on in Houston, Texas

What started as a small fire quickly became an unmanageable blaze as strong wind gusts ignited the flames, according to the AP.

The video shows a construction worker barely managing to find a safe place to stand as rescuers arrive on scene. He is shown standing on a balcony on the top floor, and as flames quickly creep towards him, he is forced to jump the the balcony below as firefighters fight to reach him with a ladder. Read more...
