It's important for those who live among bears to keep them in check. If they become accustom to humans, they can become unafraid and can potentially be very dangerous. So, it's encouraged for people to scare bears away from their home, creating a negative experience so they do **t want to return.

When this man discovered a bear rummaging through some cans on the porch of his home near Kuusamo, Finland, he decided the best plan of action was to attempt to scare the bear away.
