MAKKAH - Predicting how long car tires will last is a tricky exercise made even more difficult in the Kingdom?s harsh desert climate where the scorching hot sun takes a toll on car tires by significantly reducing their treads. Experts, however, say before purchasing drivers must learn to read tire codes, which are embedded on every tire?s sidewall and reveal important information such as maximum speed, temperature resistance and load-bearing ability, Makkah daily reported.
