If you're wondering why Ed Sheeran isn't particularly active on Twitter — the majority of his recent posts have been links to Instagram, and he doesn't post a whole lot else — there's a reason for that.

From the sounds of it, Sheeran is pretty much done with the little blue bird altogether.

"I've actually come off Twitter completely," he told The Sun in a recent interview. "I can't read it.

"I go on it and there's **thing but people saying mean things. Twitter's a platform for that."
