Ikea Products Are **w Being Sold on Amazon -*but There's a Catch

While those rumors are still up in the air, there is a way to buy Ikea on Amazon, albeit **t officially.

At press time, thousands of Ikea products are available for sale on Amazon - many of which are eligible for extremely expedited shipping through Amazon Prime. There is, however, a catch: the products are simply being sold by third-party resellers.

In a statement, US Corporate Public Relations Manager Mona Liss cleared up some confusion. "Ikea is **t selling products on Amazon or any third party sites at this time. Any Ikea product on Amazon **w is being sold by a reseller. Ikea has ** relationship with them. Currently Ikea is only exploring other online platforms," she said.

There are some pros and cons to buying the existing Ikea products on Amazon. As you might **tice, most of the items are listed for higher prices on Amazon than on the Ikea website. Some items just aren't worth it: for example, the Alex Drawer Unit is priced at $79 by Ikea and $155 on Amazon. While Amazon offers free shipping for that item, Ikea's will still come out to $101 with shipping.

For Amazon Prime members, however, it's worth it. Whereas the Fillsta Table Lamp will amount to $25 with standard shipping on Ikea's website, it only costs $22 on Amazon with free two-day shipping for Prime members. You might need to do some calculations to see if you're getting a better deal, but it does offer an additional option in the meantime.
