A spokesman for the PM House said on Monday that the prime minister’s statement he made during his visit to the New Islamabad Airport was quoted out of context.

He said the prime minister was asked about investigation into mega corruption cases registered in previous governments.

The prime minister had said that probe against the elements involved in corruption during previous governments should be taken to its logical, the spokesman reminded.

There is a rule of law in the country and all the institutions are working within constitutional limits, he added.

** corruption scandal had surfaced during this government’s tenure, he concluded.
