Zardari?s aides recovered after one month

QUETTA: The Anti Violent Crime Cell of Sindh Police carried out a major operation and recovered two main figures which included two close aides of PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari -- Ashfaq Leghari and Ghulam Qadir Murree.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), AVCC, Tariq Dharijo, said that the abducted people were recovered from Turbat and Mund. Ashfaq Leghari was abducted from Karachi and Ghulam Qadir Murree was abducted from Jamshoro. The SSP said that the two abducted people were in the custody of the AVCC.

Tariq Dharijo said that the abducted people will be allowed to leave after legal formalities. The SSP said that the kidnappers had demanded ransom for the release of Ashfaq Leghari.

Dharijo said that the intelligence agencies are gathering information regarding the incoming calls demanding ransom. During the operation, two drivers and a gunman were also recovered.

Leghari and Marri were picked up from Karachi and Jamshoro respectively. Nawaz Leghari, a**ther friend of the former president, was picked up from Islamabad. Meanwhile, the Bilawal House confirmed the development congratulating party workers over the safe recovery of Zardari's aides.
