The Tony Awards just an**unced its list of 2017 **minees on Tuesday, and the blockbuster new show just scored nine Tony **ms, including one for Best Actor frontrunner Ben Platt (Pitch Perfect).*

It'll compete for best new musical alongside Come From Away, Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 and Groundhog Day. The race was mainly thought to be a two-way competition between Evan Hansen, about an anxious teen and a lie that spirals out of control, and Come From Away, which is based on a true story about a small town in Canada in the days following 9/11.
