'Star Wars' director confirms the last Jedi's identity

Ever since we learned that Star Wars Episode VIII was going to be called The Last Jedi, fans have been scrambling to figure out what that means. Who is the Last Jedi? Is it plural? Is it a typo of 'lost?' HELP US, RIAN JOHNSON, YOU'RE OUR ONLY HOPE.

The Episode VIII director told ABC Newsthat Jedi is, in fact, singular...and that it refers, at least to him, to our first and favorite young padawan.
