We Have a First Look at Giada De Laurentiis's New Italian Cookbook!

Giada's ninth cookbook will be all about going back to her roots and sharing recipes that pay homage to her Italian heritage. Due out in Spring 2018, the cookbook is in the works **w, and Giada is hard at work recipe developing and sharing photos with her fans along the way. Giada shared the following excerpt with POPSUGAR, which will also go out in the newsletter for Giadzy, Giada's new lifestyle website.

"Phew! What a busy week it's been! I've been cooking up a storm all week testing new recipes and shooting for my next cookbook. Let me tell you, cooking 73 recipes in 6 days is ** joke - and that's **t even all of them! Luckily, Jade was happy to lend a hand as my u**fficial taste tester, especially when the desserts rolled around. Brownies are her favorite right **w, so between those and the brownie ice cream cake, she was a happy camper. And needless to say, we have plenty of tasty leftovers to feed friends and family for weeks to come too!

Since I can't keep it a secret any longer, I'm excited to let you in on a few of the details **w! The book will be an homage to my grandfather's Italy, featuring lots of super traditional recipes and lifestyle secrets he would have loved. That's right, I'm toning down my inner California girl on this project - but just for a while! The next stop will be a trip to Italy to this Spring, where we'll meet up with my mother and family who live there. We'll cook together, explore the city and the places that make Italian food so special. Together with the recipes we've just wrapped, I hope it'll give you a full picture of the country that's such an important part of who I am. The book won't be out until next Spring, so if you want to follow along in the meantime, I'll be sharing plenty of photos on Instagram from our trip. Hope you'll join me!"

While there's ** cookbook title yet, it's clear that this book will be at the top of every Italian-food-lover's wish list. Plus, Giada's cooking show Giada in Italy returns to Food Network on Sunday, April 9, so fans can get their Italian fix there, too.
