President Barack Obama wiped away a tear as he started talking about the first lady during Tuesday's farewell address — and then things got real emotional.

"Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, girl of the south side, for the past 25 years, you’ve been **t only my wife and mother of my children, you have been my best friend," Obama said toward the end of his speech from Chicago.*

"You took on a role you didn’t ask for and made it your own with grace and grit and style and good humor," he continued. "You made the White House a place that belongs to everybody.
