It really is the golden age of revivals. ABC an**unced Monday that the network is renewing the late-1970s comedy talent franchise The Gong Show, to be produced by Will Arnett.*

The Gong Show brings together several reality show formats with doses of absurdist humor; Contestants take the stage for a talent show and if the judges aren't happy, they strike a giant gong. It's like The Voice, in reverse, and louder. With gongs. Any act that didn't get "gonged" received a score, with the winners taking home a cash prize.
