Uber rolls out scheduled rides for Singapore

Uber has finally rolled out scheduled rides in Singapore, allowing users to pre-book a ride up to a month in advance.

The feature was previously available in June only for business users here.

With the feature, riders will get to schedule their trip 15 minutes to 30 days in advance. This is aimed at getting more people to rely on ride-sharing services for trips at odd hours — such as early morning flights — where drivers may **t be on standby to pick up a ride request.

Uber unlocked the feature for consumers in Singapore shortly after neighbouring Malaysia got it last week. Last month, the ride-sharing firm rolled it out in New York City and Australia. In August, the U.K. became the first country in Europe to receive scheduled rides, and some other European countries, including Romania and Croatia, have recently gotten the feature. Read more...
