In his opening remarks during the first presidential debate, Republican candidate Donald Trump cited Ford as an example of a company sending U.S. jobs to Mexico.*

“So Ford is leaving. You see that their small car division [is] leaving. Thousands of jobs leaving Michigan, leaving Ohio. They’re all leaving. And we can’t allow it to happen anymore,” he said.*

It's **t the first time Trump has cited Ford, commenting on the company's plans to move production of some cars to its operations to Mexico.*
