The time has come for presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump to debate face to face for the first time at Hofstra University, in Hempstead, New York.*

Experts estimate the 90-minute face-off could be watched by as many as 100 million viewers, surpassing the 80 million who watched Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan in 1980.*

Monday's debate, which is divided into six 15-minute sections, is set for 9 p.m. ET (2-3:30 a.m. Tuesday UK time) and will be moderated by NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt.*
