CHARLOTTE, **rth Carolina — Protests against police brutality have rolled through Charlotte, **rth Carolina, since a black resident of the city named Keith Scott was fatally shot by an ******r on Tuesday.*

Police maintain Scott had a gun at the time he was killed, while relatives and demonstrators say Scott had only a book.*
