Livi Automated Medication Dispenser Helps Manage Multiple *****

A new medication dispenser called Livi has come to market that promises to simplify the process of managing complicated drug regimens, particularly for older adults. It*resembles*a Keurig single-cup coffee maker, but inside has space for up to fifteen containers for different *****. A smartphone app or browser can be used to enter a schedule for every drug taken, the containers are then loaded and placed inside the Livi.

When it’s time to take the meds, the device **tifies the user and dispenses the correct amount of each medication that has to be taken at that time. It can also be made to display instructions to take other types of ***** such as injections and creams.

The schedule is kept “in the cloud” thanks to an Internet of Things platform developed by Zipit Wireless, so authorized users, for example*children of elderly patients, are able to update the drug schedule if a doctor changes the prescription. Such caregivers can also be signed up to receive alerts if a medication is **t taken at the appropriate time.
