Dacoits kill man on resistance

MALAKWAL: Three dacoits killed a man and injured a woman on resistance at Haria on Thursday.

The dacoits broke into the house of Bashir and tried to loot it, but the family resisted. It infuriated the dacoits and they opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, Bashir was killed on the spot while his daughter-in-law Adeela was injured. Malakwal police have started investigation.

BIKE STOLEN: An incident of theft was reported at Mauza Jarra in Gojra police limits on Thursday.

A thief took away the motorcycle of Mudassar Hussain from his fields. Gojra police are investigating.

INQUIRY ORDERED: The Mandi Bahauddin DPO has ordered an inquiry against ASI Sanaullah on the charge of receiving bribe. DPO Umer Farooq Salamat held an open court in the Gojra police station where Saeed Ahmad submitted an application, alleging that the ASI had taken bribe from him for some work but did **t do it.
