Comprehensive security plan chalked out for Muharram

MUZAFFARGARH: The district administration Thursday chalked out a comprehensive security plan to maintain peace and sectarian harmony during Muharram.

Presiding over a meeting of district peace committee in the DCO ****** here, Dera Ghazi Khan Commissioner Muhammad Yasrab said the security plan would be implemented with an effective collaboration of religious leaders of all schools of thought, district administration and police. He said peaceful atmosphere was pre-requisite for smooth socio-eco**mic development. The commissioner underlined the need to be aware of suspected elements. He appealed the religious leaders to play their vital role, as usual, in promoting harmony and unity among the people. He ensured that the district government would give due preference to their proposals and suggestions for maintenance of law and order.

DPO Awais Ahmed Malik expressed his heartiest gratitude for assurance of cooperation by religious scholars.
