Woman kidnapped
From Our Correspondent PAKPATTAN: A woman was kidnapped on Wednesday. Reportedly, five accused, including a woman abducted the wife of Munawar Hussain of Chak 73/EB. The accused also took away gold ornaments, cash, and other valuables. Police have registered a case. LOCALS ROBBED OF CASH, VALUABLES: Locals were robbed of cash and other valuables on Wednesday. Muhammad Asghar and his mother were heading to the THQ Hospital when eight robbers intercepted them near animal market Arifwala and snatched cash and gold ornaments from them. Muhammad Iftikhar of Chak 19/EB was deprived of gold chain worth Rs 75,000 by robbers outside his house. Police have registered cases. DRUG PEDDLERS HELD: Police arrested drug peddlers and recovered narcotics from their possession on Wednesday. Police arrested Sabir with 2,780 gram charas, accused Muhammad Ahmad of 13/SP with 1,270 gram charas, accused Mudassar Hussain of animal market Arifwala with 350 gram charas, accused Safdar Hussain of Shahdab Colony, Pakpattan with 200 gram charas, and accused Mumtaz Ahmad of Ferozepur Chishtian with five litre liquor. Police have registered cases. BOOKED UNDER AMPLIFIER ACT: Police booked two people on charges of violating Amplifier Act. Accused Ghulam Mustafa and Allah Ditta of Pirkot were arrested when they were reveling at a marriage function and were playing music violating Amplifier Act. Police arrested Ghulam Mustafa while Allah Ditta escaped. Meanwhile, police booked Sajjad, Rab Nawaz and Nisar Ahmad on charges of **t keeping guards for their outlets. FAKE CHEQUE CASE: Police booked an accused on charges of issuing a fake cheque. Reportedly, accused Muhammad Younis had gotten Rs 1,050,000 loan from Bahawal Khan of College Road, Pakpattan and gave him a cheque that bounced.
