Hoti says ANP to support Imran Khan if he stages sit-in against militants
 

‘PTI exploiting Pakhtuns’ mandate’

MINGORA: Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president Ameer Haider Hoti on Monday said that his party would support the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) if it an**unced a sit-in against militants and for the rights of Pakhtun labourers working abroad.

Speaking to a workers’ convention in Dherai Ground in Swat, the nationalist leader alleged that the PTI chief Imran Khan had put at stake the rights of the Pakhtuns to get public support in Punjab province.

Haider Hoti, who is also a Member National Assembly, said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa voted the PTI into power in the province but alleged that Imran Khan had deserted them and trying to strengthen his position in Punjab province. “Imran Khan has put at stake the mandate of Pakhtuns given to his party by them in the 2013 general elections. He has ** interest in the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as he wanted to become prime minister,” he went on to say. He said the PTI chief did **t care for the troubles of the people of the province where his party was in government. He claimed that the provincial exchequer was emptied and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was facing a deficit of Rs80 billion.

He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has tasked its ministers with making arrangements for the PTI march on Raiwind. “The provincial government is serving the political interest of Imran Khan,” he added.

He said that federal governed had ig**red the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the multi-billion dollars China-Pakistan Eco**mic Corridor (CPEC) project but the provincial government was unmoved to save the interest of the province in the fortune changing project.

He said that the decision of the PTI core committee to replace the chief secretary was an example of political interference in the affairs of government departments.Haider Hoti said that it was deplorable that only Pakhtuns were being killed on both sides of the Durand line. He added that the people of Federally Administered Tribal Areas were being subjected to step-motherly treatment and they were **t given freedom in a true sense.He demanded Primer Nawaz Sharif to make the Swat airport functional.
