Street Fighter V players have purchased e**ugh DLC to bump up the 2016 Capcom Cup's prize pool by almost $100,000, making this year's tournament the most lucrative one yet.

The Capcom Cup, the culmination of the 2016 Street Fighter V Capcom Pro Tour, has reached a prize pool just over $342,000, Capcom an**unced on the PlayStation Blog Monday. Capcom put up a baseline of $250,000 and took a page out of Valve's playbook, offering DLC to fans and putting some of the proceeds toward tournament winnings.

The Capcom Pro Tour DLC includes a stage, Ring of Destiny, player titles, a themed color option for all characters, and costumes for Chun-Li, Cammy and Necalli. Necalli's costume was chosen by the 2015 Capcom Cup winner Kazu**ko, and this year's winner will be able to choose a character to receive a new costume too. Read more...
