NEW YORK —For the second year in a row, HBO’s Veep took home an Emmy for best comedy ******.**

The show, which almost doubled its **mination count from nine last year to 17 this year, had one of its strongest seasons to date, under new show runner David Mandel (who replaced Armando Iannucci).*

Veep won two other Emmys this year, including a best lead actress in a comedy ****** award for Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who has won five years in a row for the same role.*
