Finally, a little extravagance in the New York City restroom experience.

As part of a new exhibit entitled "America" at New York's Guggenheim Museum, Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan replaced the fourth-floor toilet with a functional 18-karat gold toilet.

Worth between $1 million and $1.7 million, the shiny john is hooked up to the museums regular old plumbing system.*

It's contemporary art, and you can poop on it. There's truly something for everyone.
