Geo Report Card: Pakistan?s top journalists answer funny questions
KARACHI: It is said that a lawyer with a briefcase can steal more money than a man with a gun, but Pakistan’s famous political commentator and a senior lawyer Babar Sattar doesn’t seem to agree with Godfather, a famous character from Mario Puzo’s 1969 **vel.
“If I were **t a lawyer, I would be a butcher,” said Babar Sattar, tackling a volley of rapid fire questions thrown his way by Rabia Anum in a fun-packed Report Card show on the eve of Eidul Azha. Saleem Safi, Mazhar Abbas, Imtiaz Alam, Shahzad Chaudhry and Babar Sattar were asked what they would be, if they were **t political analysts. The current affairs show, which has veteran journalists on its panel is the most watched TV talkshow during 7-8 pm slot, took an interesting turn just as Rabia Anum thought she was done with confusing the gentlemen, when Saleem Khan Safi, the anchor of Jirga, turned the tables on the female anchor, asking her to answer the same questions which she chose to ask them. The anchor promised to answer but the questions remained unanswered. Imtiaz Alam stole the show when **t only did he show his penchant for being a dancer, but also moved his hands to show his skills. Other panelists broke into laughter, when Imtiaz Alam said his fellow journalist Hassan Nisar would become a Takfiri Mullah, a hardline cleric-if he were **t a journalist. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/com/YEor/~4/7cJukC758kg أكثر... |
