Groups have been drawn for the first leg of the 2016 League of Legends World Championship, which kicks off with round robins at the end of September.

The 16 qualifying teams have been split into four groups of four based on their seeding from regional spring and summer seasons. Only the top two teams in each group will move onto the quarterfinals in October.

Here are the groups for the start of the tournament:

Group A

• Rox Tigers
  
• G2 Esports
  
• Counter Logic Gaming
  
• Albus **x Luna
  

Rox Tigers — South Korean Summer Split champions — are the number one seed in group A, going up against Europe's champions G2 Esports, **rth America's second team Counter Logic Gaming and CIS wildcard team Albus **x Luna. G2 Esports were the only major region's champions that did **t get a top seed for the group stage due to their spotty performance in 2016, specifically at the Mid-Season Invitational. Read more...
