#K**tOnMyPlanet brings the elephant crisis to the forefront.

Fashion has the ability to dictate social trends, which is what ex Victoria Secret Angel Doutzen Kroes also realizes, which is why she is doing everything in her power to decrease the global demand for ivory which is causing illegal poaching of elephants all over the world.

Currently, nearly 30,000 elephants are killed each year to keep up with that demand. “It worries me that there is still a demand for ivory,” says Kroes. “This is something that needs to change, which is why these ads are important.” But with her latest campaign, Kroes plans to change all that.

Working in collaboration with the Elephant Crisis Fund on their campaign, #K**tOnMyCampaign, Kroez is hard at work trying to create awareness for the plight of elephants through a ****** of ads which feature Kroez and other supermodels who the supermodel has managed to rope in for the campaign. The star-studded list includes some of the most well k**wn models of our time, such as Naomi Campbell, Miranda Kerr, Joan Smalls, and Adriana Lima. It was an easy task getting so many big names together. “The beautiful thing about the fashion industry is that after all these years of working together, you create relationships,” said Kroez. “When I first started, I reached out to my colleagues, and everyone was so happy to help.”

The inspiration behind this campaign was a trip to Kenya, where Kroez met with a wildlife conservationist and had her first experience watching the elephants in their natural habitat. “It was love at first sight,” says Kroez. “I gathered a lot of background information and learned about their crisis. I knew I wanted to get involved, and I wanted to get the fashion industry involved as well.”

Kroez is confident that this campaign will have an impact. “It’s become a huge campaign with so many people involved all doing this for free,” says Kroes. “I’m hoping we’ll reach a lot of people and get the donations that can put more people on the ground to do the hard job of protecting the animals from poachers.”

The famous stars will be using social media to spread the word and Snapchat has even an**unced a special elephant filter in ho**ur of the launch of #K**tOnMyPlanet. “We need to use this platform to give back,” Kroes says. “We’ve all been so lucky. This could be a great example of showing how powerful we are in the fashion industry.
