Islamabad: A rainy spell is upon Islooites as the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast thundershowers in the capital city for the next three days.

According to Imran Ahmad Siddiqui of the PMD, scattered rain with dust and thunderstorm are expected in upper parts of the country from Monday to Wednesday.He told ‘The News’ on Sunday that a good relief from current hot and humid weather was expected next week.

“Under the influence of the weak-to-moderate weather system, rain coupled with dust and thunderstorm is expected to fall at scattered places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata, Islamabad, Upper Punjab including Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Lahore divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir between Monday and Wednesday,” he said.

The weatherman said thundershowers were also expected at a few places of **rtheast Balochistan including Quetta, Zhob and Sibbi divisions on Tuesday and Wednesday.He said there was a chance of partly cloudy weather occurring in interior Sindh and southern Punjab with the highest temperature touching the 40°C mark.
