Collective sacrifice gains currency

LALAMUSA: Higher prices of sacrificial animals have forced the people to resort to collective sacrifice.

Several religious organizations have an**unced different packages of collective sacrifice of bulls and cows. It has been witnessed that prices of goats have risen beyond the reach of the people of low-income group. They find it hard to buy a goat for Rs 25,000 upto Rs 60,000 while prices of bulls and cows range from Rs 90,000 to Rs 200,000. Butchers have also increased their services rates during Eid.

POWER OUTAGE IRKS LOCALS: Extensive unscheduled power loadshedding has paralyzed the routine life of the people. The locals are spending their sleepless and restless nights in the absence of power. The locals have urged the relevant authorities to look into the matter.
