Says decision of a case in six months is **t rocket science



LAHORE: Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Syed Mansoor Ali Shah said on Friday that incompetent judges would **t be tolerated. He said judges with bad reputation could **t provide justice.

He was addressing the concluding ceremony of a special training programme for capacity-building of judicial ******rs made OSDs at the Punjab Judicial Academy.The chief justice said justice should be done within targeted time in any circumstances. He said it was his priority to change the negative perception of people about the provincial judiciary.

He said judicial ******rs were **t civil servants and soon their cadre will be changed with judicial cadre and the Punjab Judiciary Act will be introduced. He said: “It is **t a rocket science that the decision of a case should be reached within six months.”

Justice Mansoor urged the judicial ******rs to focus on their professional attitude and proficiency. “We have to work as a family and it is your duty to identify the black sheep to kick them out from this holy profession.”

The chief justice awarded certificates to judicial ******rs on completion of the training programme.Justice Mahmood Maqbool Bajwa, Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, Registrar Syed Khurshid Anwar Rizvi, MIT Tahir Sabir and Director General of the academy Uzma Akhtar Chughtai were also present on the occasion.’’;
