Farishtay: ISPR releases short film inspired by true events
RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) made a short film about a real-life event which took place during Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
The plot of the short film revolves around a certain event in which an individual, who is accused of being an informer and is sentenced to death by militants. The militants forbid the burial of the resident who was convicted of being an informer and threaten anyone who violated this command with dire consequences. Burying her father alive herself was also considered a crime by the militants, who came up with an unusual punishment for the girl; the militants forcibly marry her and confine her to a prison. Locked in captivity, the poor girl was all alone and helpless in jail when the soldiers of Pakistan army soon raided the area and killed several militants during an operation. It is then that an ******r of the Pakistan army discovers the girl, who is able to escape her captivity finally owing to the brave heroics of the soldiers.
