LONDON — As September clings desperately to the last vestiges of summer, Uber has taken a gamble on the British weather to open a pop-up pool to punt — you guessed it — its uberPool car-sharing service.*

Next week, the cab app provider will take advantage of Brits' willingness to strip down at the merest hint of sunshine by offering a chance to book a space for an outdoor splash.*

The pool will be located in the somewhat exposed roadside bit between shipping-crate shopping mall BoxPark and Shoreditch station. But the area has never been short on exhibitionism.*
