Angel Olsen is so sick of her music being categorized as sad girl folk that she refuses to be photographed standing next to trees. And while it may be comforting to the listener to try and neatly place her in a box after her music rips you apart, sometimes it's better to just remain raw and let Olsen take control, because she's damn good at it.
