Plea against MQM dismissed
 

LAHORE: The LHC Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Friday dismissed a petition seeking directions to MQM leader Farooq Sattar to file an affidavit before the court about his alienation from Altaf Hussain.

The CJ declared the petition **n-maintainable. The petition was filed by Advocate Abdul Majeed. In his petition, he submitted that Farooq Sattar also delivered anti-Pakistan speeches and after being arrested by Rangers he an**unced disassociation of the MQM Pakistan from its founder Altaf Hussain. He said it seemed as if he was cheating the armed forces and the people of Pakistan by making this an**uncement of disassociation. He said to save their skin they had made this an**uncement and after coming out of the current operation, they again would be united.

He submitted that if Farooq Sattar was speaking truth, he should say it on oath and file an affidavit in this regard before the court. However, the CJ said the petition was **t maintainable as such directions could **t be issued to any person.
