Armed forces pensioners stage demo against post ******

TOBA TEK SINGH: Scores of armed forces pensioners staged a demonstration outside the General Post ****** (GPO) against the post ****** staff for allegedly adopting delaying tactics in payment of their pension.

The pensioners alleged that the staff was demanding bribe from them for payment of their pension. When the protesters started chanting slogans against bribery, the staffers locked the ****** and disappeared. On information, City police officials reached the spot and mediated talks between the protesters and the post ****** officials in which it was decided that ** such incident would occur in future.
